Kelvin Genn

Kelvin Genn is a founder for Safety Differently and a  key designer and creator for the Due Diligence Index

Kelvin is a strategic systems practitioner with extensive experience in Human Factors and organisational re-engineering. He developed his systems thinking approach working in the Royal Australian Air Force. He led systems and risk management programs across Asia Pacific and Europe with Compass Group Plc, the world’s largest support service company with more than 750,000 employees. 

He worked for (SKM) Sinclair Knight Merz as the Global General Manager for Safety and Wellness delivering safety for major project construction in mining, energy and infrastructure. 

As a Board Member for NSW Health, Kelvin has worked as the NSW Health Director for Clinical Quality and Patient Safety. He has also worked with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care to develop the national accreditation system for all health care providers across Australia.

Kelvin is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety.

Ram is an accomplished executive who has dedicated his career to transforming businesses across multiple industries and geographic regions. Throughout his professional journey, Ram has observed a common issue: the growing divide between the execution of strategies and the bureaucratic structures that focus on policies, procedures, and rules. Whether the challenges revolved around revenue growth, margin improvement, talent management, customer satisfaction, or operational excellence, Ram consistently noticed a tendency for managers to prioritise managing processes over mobilising innovative solutions.

Recognizing the need for change, Ram has been deeply committed to simplifying complex problems, empowering teams to discover their own solutions within existing frameworks, and providing necessary resources, guidance, and disruptive thinking when required. This path of learning and development has been immensely gratifying for him.

With a wealth of experience in prominent organisations such as Oberoi Hotels, Compass Group Plc, Sodexo, Knight Frank, and JLL, Ram possesses a profound understanding of organisational dynamics, people, and culture. He brings a strategic vision to seize the potential opportunities that arise from change, fostering the creation of winning teams, nurturing a customer-centric internal culture, and ensuring sustained profitability.
